Sample Programs

See below for an example of what an activity program with MiCamp could look like. 
We are happy to work with you to design a program that reflects the goals and values you are trying to achieve with your group, please contact us.

Instructed Activities

Let the trained MiCamp Instructors guide you through these amazing activities. 1 hour or 1.5 hour sessions available.
A max of 3 instructed activities can be chosen per program or dependant on the availability of instructors. 

Climbing

Let one of our qualified instructors create an awesome space for your campers to learn & experience climbing - Great for all ages.
*Group must provide 1 supervisor for this activity.

Raft Building

In a session, the participants will learn to tie knots, work as a team to plan, build and race their raft!
​*Group must provide 1 supervisor for this activity.

ZIPLINE

Our zipline can challenge and excite! We can help you face your fears and come out smiling. This is a great activity run by our qualified instructors.
​*Group must provide 2 supervisor for this activity.

Bush Craft

Learn about NZ bush, how to care for it and how to survive in it with one of our trained instructors.
*Group must provide 1 supervisor for this activity.

Kayaking 
! TEMPORARILY unavailable !

 Due to being in the process of training other staff for this role, we are unable to offer this activity currently, please check with the office to see when it might be available again.

​Kayak on Lake Taupo or cruise up the Tauranga-Taupo River with one of our instructors.
*Group must provide 1 supervisor.
** This is an off-site activity - group must supply own transport for activity

Challenge Ropes 

Challenge your fears on our Rope walk's, cargo net's and wobbly bridge's while being clipped in to our safety system.
​*Group must provide 1 supervisor for this activity.

Supervisor led Activities

The MiCamp Staff will train an adult supervisor so that they understand the safety requirements and their role and responsibility for each activity. 
In order to ensure the competency of the supervision of the activities we require that the supervisors be assigned to an activity and not rotate with the group.

Archery

Learn the skills required to use a bow to shoot an arrow. Test your aim with others in your group.

Geocaching

Using a Garmin GPS the students need to find a "waypoint" marker around camp whist learning about native trees.

Swimming Pool


​Nothing beats a swim on a hot day.

Sports Pack

Hire a sports pack including, cricket gear, soccer ball, volley ball and rugby ball. Other items available on request.

Water Slide

Our double water slide is a huge hit for any age range.

Frizbee Golf

Air Rifles 

People of all ages get a kick out of loading and firing a rifle. The satisfying 'ping' when the slug pellet hits its target!

Bush Craft

Learn about survival in the NZ bush! This activity works best with someone passionate about the enviorment.

A series of small activities that reqires teams to work together and think outside trhe box.

Sling Paint 

Choose to shoot at targets or at each other in our paintball area. All paintballs are shot from slingshots not guns.

Braziers

Our Braziers can help create amazing community and a highlight of camp.

Burma Trail

The burma trail is always a winner. This is a great evening activity or can be done during the day with blindfolds. 

Low Ropes

The low ropes course is a series of activities that need to be completed using teamwork. 

Orienteering

Lean about map reading skills on our Easy or Hard orienteering courses. Be the group to find all the markers!

Slackline

Practice your balance and tricks on this worldwide craze. Perfect session for beginners.

Top Team

A great way to start or finish your camp. A series of small activities that the whole camp group rotates around.

These are some suggested activities in the surrounding area. The group must ensure they have the correct safety potacols in place for running these activities.

Lake Taupo & Taupo Township

Lake Taupo is on MiCamp Taupo's doorstep. If you wish to explore the Taupo Town, it's only a 30min drive north from camp.
