Sample Programs
See below for an example of what an activity program with MiCamp could look like. We are happy to work with you to design a program that reflects the goals and values you are trying to achieve with your group, contact us to learn more.
Instructed Activities
Let the trained MiCamp Instructors guide you through these amazing activities. 1 hour or 1.5 hour sessions available.

Raft BuildingIn a session, the participants will learn to tie knots, work as a team to plan, build and race their raft!

KayakingKayak on Lake Taupo or cruise up the Tauranga-Taupo River with one of our instructors.

Climbing WallA great physical challenge, climbing on our wall will give participants the chance to challenge themselves to reach new heights.

Hire an InstructorYou may wish to hire one of our trained staff to instruct any of the 'supervisor led' activities or facilitate team building and leadership development programs.

Supervisor Led Activities
The MiCamp Staff will train an adult supervisor so that they understand the safety requirements and their role and responsibility for each activity.
In order to ensure the competency of the supervision of the activities we require that the supervisors be assigned to an activity and not rotate with the group.

ArcheryLearn the skills required to use a bow to shoot an arrow. Test your aim with others in your group.

Archery TagOur Braziers can help create amazing community and a highlight of camp.
*Fire restrictions will apply in summer. |
BraziersAn exhilarating combat game with bows and foam-tipped arrows. Participants will compete in teams and work together.

Spa PoolsEnjoy a nice relaxing time in our spa area overlooking the beautiful Lake Whakamaru. *Groups max 10 people

Burma TrailThe burma trail is always a winner. This is a great evening activity or can be done during the day with blindfolds.

BushcraftLearn about survival in the NZ bush! This activity works best with someone passionate about the environment.

OrienteeringLearn about map reading skills on our easy or hard orienteering courses. Be the group to find all the markers!

GPS WayfindingUsing a Garmin GPS the students need to find a "waypoint" marker around camp whist learning about native trees.

BMXGreat for primary-intermediate aged kids. Practice on wooden obstacles before heading to the track

SwimmingA camp highlight! Nothing beats a swim on a hot day or doing a manu off the pontoon.

Slug GunsPeople of all ages get a kick out of loading and firing a rifle. The satisfying 'ping' when the slug pellet hits its target!

SlacklinePractice your balance and tricks on this worldwide craze. Perfect session for beginners.

Sling PaintChoose to shoot at targets or at each other in our paintball area. All paintballs are shot from slingshots not guns.

Top TeamA great way to start or finish your camp. A series of small team activities that the whole camp group rotates around.

Confidence CourseThe confidence course is a series of activities that need to be completed safely as a group

Local Activities
These are some suggested activities in the surrounding area. The group must ensure they have the correct safety protocols in place for running these activities.

Waikato river trails goes right past camp. This is a basic-intermediate bike tracks and also makes for a really nice bush walk too.

Lake Whakamaru is full of trout (must be a license holder) along with that we get lots of rud in the summer which the kids (and adults) love to catch!

Pureora Forest ParkThe start of the Pureora Forest is only 20 mins drive from camp. It is filled will short to long, easy to hard tracks. See the DOC website for more info.

Rotorua/TaupoMiCamp Whakamaru is only 45 minutes from Rotorua and 35 minutes from Taupo. Both these locations have lots of attactions.
