We have many outdoor activities available at MiCamp Taupo to keep your group entertained and challenged while allowing you to enjoy and appreciate the great outdoors. See our activity options below and see what might fit your camp best.

See below for an example of what an activity program with MiCamp could look like. We are happy to work with you to design a program that reflects the goals and values you are trying to achieve with your group, please contact us.
Instructed Activities
Let the trained MiCamp Instructors guide you through these amazing activities. 1 hour or 1.5 hour sessions available.

Raft BuildingIn a session, the participants will learn to tie knots, work as a team to plan, build and race their raft!

Challenge RopesChallenge your fears on high wires, cargo nets and wobbly bridge walks while being clipped in to our safety system.

KayakingKayak on Lake Taupo or cruise up the Tauranga-Taupo River with one of our instructors.

Climbing WallA great physical challenge, climbing on our wall will give participants the chance to challenge themselves to reach new heights.

Supervisor Led Activities
The MiCamp Staff will train an adult supervisor so that they understand the safety requirements and their role and responsibility for each activity.
In order to ensure the competency of the supervision of the activities we require that the supervisors be assigned to an activity and not rotate with the group.

ArcheryLearn the skills required to use a bow to shoot an arrow. Test your aim with others in your group.

BraziersOur Braziers can help create amazing community and a highlight of camp.

Bridge BuildingIn your teams, build a bridge that spans the pool, don't fall in!!

Bubble SoccerAn awesome game of soccer in Zorb balls!

Burma TrailThe burma trail is always a winner. This is a great evening activity or can be done during the day with blindfolds.

BushcraftLearn about survival in the NZ bush! This activity works best with someone passionate about the environment.

Disc Golf With an awesome Frisbee golf course that spans the entire camp site, challenge your mates to a game!

GPS WayfindingUsing a Garmin GPS the students need to find a "waypoint" marker around camp whilst learning about native trees.

Low RopesThe low ropes course is a series of activities that need to be completed using teamwork.

Sling PaintChoose to shoot at targets or at each other in our paintball area. All paintballs are shot from slingshots not guns.

Slug GunsPeople of all ages get a kick out of loading and firing a rifle. The satisfying 'ping' when the slug pellet hits its target!
