TAUPO ACTIVITIES

We have many outdoor activities available at our Taupo site to keep your group entertained, challenged and to allow them to enjoy and appreciate the great out-doors. Please feel free to contact our Bookings Manager or your Host to discuss activity options for your group.

This activity requires a supervisor provided by your group.

This activity requires a supervisor provided by your group. A ratio of 1 supervisor to every 10 participants is required.

This activity requires an instructor provided by MiCamp. A ratio of 1 Instructor to every 10 participants is required.

This activity requires a supervisor and an instructor. A ratio of 1 instructor and 1 Supervisor to every 10 participants is required.

ARCHERY
A supervisor is trained to manage a group shooting with the supplied bow and arrows at the marked targets.

BOULDERING WALL
An indoor activity that uses rock holds and crash mats. Lots of games can be played and uses the whole team.

 BURMA TRAIL
A supervisor is trained to manage a group to follow a rope that winds its way through the bush, children have the challenge of getting through with their blindfolds on.

BMX
A fun trail perfect for younger school kids. Get them out and having fun on our BMX bikes.

INDOOR SPORTS
A range of activities and sports played indoors.

LOW ROPES
An instructed activity that will challenge the group in team work and in completing the course and playing the games set
for them.

ORIENTEERING
The group is given a map of the camp with clues and the task is to find the clippers to clip their sheets and collect them all.

Courses differ in difficulty and map size. Junior (recommended 5-8yo), Senior (recommended 9-13yo) and Advanced (recommended 13-19yo) levels available.

SLING PAINT
Paintball goes bush! Students can choose to shoot at targets or at each other in our well defined paintball area. Bring old clothes to get paint on. All paintballs are shot from slingshots not guns.

TEAM BUILDING / TOP TEAM
A variety of activities and challenges run by the instructor that focus’ on team work and development.

POOL
A supervised activity where they use the swimming pool cold or heated (heating is at extra cost).

WATERSLIDE
A supervised slippery slide using water and soap down a hill.

BUSH CRAFT
With two levels of difficulty, this can be either a supervised or instructed activity. The supervised level will

RAFT BUILD
For this activity students will make the most our of the spectacular lake on our doorstep and will test their building and knot skills as they work together to make the ultimate raft.

BRAZIERS
A chance for kids to enjoy a camp fire around braziers, complete with marshmallows and damper.

KAYAKING
An instructed activity that includes being taught how to paddle, a journey and some games. Held either at the Mission Bay boat ramp or at the Tauranga-Taupo river mouth.

SLACK LINING
A great activity that tests your balance and skill. Supervised only, this new craze is excellent fun.

OUTDOOR SPORTS PACK
A range of activities and sports played outdoors including mini-golf, cricket, rugby, basketball, tennis and more!

SPORTS PACK
A sports pack is available for use but must be pre-booked. It contains a basket ball, a soccer ball, a volley ball, a rugby ball, four golf balls and four golf clubs, a cricket set, a tennis ball and a Frisbee.
